We are committed to conducting our business in ways that provide all our staff with a safe and healthy work environment.
We believe that our staff are our greatest asset. We know that by ensuring everyone is happy in their work, our staff will deliver exceptional customer service, making our customers happy. We invest in our teams’ Continuing Professional Development and recognise potential where we see it.
Safe working environments cannot be achieved by simply having good safety systems and procedures. The way that every one of us thinks and acts, our Behaviour, is the single biggest contributor to creating safe working environments. By recognising this, all our staff receive coaching to enable them to understand how the everyday choices we all make can have such a dramatic influence on our own safety and the safety of those around us.
We also work hard to minimise our impact on the Environment, by buying neutral cleaning products when possible, employing from the local area and creating van shares for our mobile sites.
As a business, we are committed to supporting 2 local charities.
Haven House Children’s Hospice
Today, Haven House has supported over 900 families, looking after children and young people aged from birth to 19 years old who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Residential and community services extend across North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire, including respite and end-of-life care.
In the hospice, children benefit from play activities as well as day and overnight stays. Through the Holistic Care Centre, opened in September 2014, children can access a range of therapies, including music therapy, physiotherapy and therapeutic yoga.
London’s Air Ambulance
London’s Air Ambulance brings the hospital to the patient when time is critical. They perform innovative and potentially life-saving procedures usually found in the emergency department on-scene. The team, consisting of an advanced trauma doctor, paramedic and consultant on most missions, can perform treatments such as open-heart surgery, blood transfusions and general anaesthetic by the roadside.
By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, they aim to give patients the best chance of survival and quality of life after trauma.
We also regularly sponsor individuals and teams taking part in events for a variety of charities that are important to the company and staff. For example, our staff raised £520 for 3 friends who took part in the Virgin London Marathon raising money for Children with Cancer. We also sponsor a local children’s football team to buy new kits and enter tournaments and competitions.
